Architecture and Built Environment
Mossbourne’s Architecture and Built Environment Programme provides a range of opportunities, experiences and challenges designed to spark interest in Architecture, Structural Engineering, Urban Planning and other built environment fields.
The goal is to increase the number of students from diverse backgrounds who have a firm foundation for pursuing careers as architecture and built environment professionals.
The programme currently works at three levels:
A drawing and model-making club for students in Years 7 and 8
Students in Years 9-11 continue to develop design and model-making skills with added opportunities to meet practicing architects, engineers, city planners and other built environment professionals
Sixth Form students create portfolios and are encouraged to enter external design competitions. They also are helped with finding work experience placements and are supported through the university application process.
“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then, is not an act, but a habit.”
