Architecture and Built Environment

Mossbourne’s Architecture and Built Environment Programme provides a range of opportunities, experiences and challenges designed to spark interest in Architecture, Structural Engineering, Urban Planning and other built environment fields.​

The goal is to increase the number of students from diverse backgrounds who have a firm foundation for pursuing careers as architecture and built environment professionals.

The programme currently works at three levels:

• A drawing and model-making club for students in Years 7 and 8

• Students in Years 9-11 continue to develop design and model-making skills with added opportunities to meet practicing architects, engineers, city planners and other built environment professionals

• Sixth Form students create portfolios and are encouraged to enter external design competitions. They also are helped with finding work experience placements and are supported through the university application process.
